Welcome to Our Journey

It has taken 5 years to finally have our website up and running. Now all we have to do is keep it updated. LOL

Hey there, fellow wanderers! We’re Tom and Lora, (aka ToLo). This is where our story unfolds. It happens one mile, one sunrise, and one unexpected discovery at a time.

Back in 2021, the world felt uncertain. Home meant something different to everyone. We made a decision that changed everything. We sold our house in Florida. We sold our car. We purchased a 2021 Forest River Arctic Wolf 5th wheel and a 2011 Ford F250 diesel truck. We traded four walls and a mortgage for life on wheels and endless possibilities. What started as a leap of faith during an unprecedented time has become the adventure of a lifetime.

(And yes, we did things a little backwards—putting the cart before the horse, literally—by buying the 5th wheel first and assuming the truck would be easy to find. But that’s a story for a post of its own!)

For the past few years, we’ve been sharing glimpses of our travels through social media. We post quick snapshots on Facebook. We share Instagram stories and the occasional tweet. But those platforms only capture moments, not the full story. We realized we were missing the in-between parts. These include the quiet morning coffee rituals in new places and the wrong turns that led to right discoveries. They also involve the challenges that tested us and the simple joys that reminded us why we chose this path.

That’s where this blog comes in. Think of it as our daily diary, open for you to read along. We’re not travel experts or lifestyle gurus. We’re simply two people who decided that life is too short to wait for “someday.” Some days we’ll share breathtaking views from the road. On other days, we might tell the story of a fellow traveler. This led to meeting the kindest strangers in a small town we’d never heard of.
